Eastern Wayne opened the season with a 77-0 shutout of rival Goldsboro, extending its winning streak in the series. The Warriors led 39-0 after the first quarter and got standout performances from Auree Best, Brandon Lark and their defense.
Aycock defense blanks Rosewood for fifth straight rivalry win
C.B. Aycock forced at least four turnovers and shut out Rosewood 20-0 in the 45th edition of the Little River Rivalry. Devin Lewis scored on a pick-six and a 23-yard reception as the Golden Falcons won their fifth straight matchup in the series.
Goldsboro serves up sweep as 28 aces overwhelm Saints
Goldsboro recorded 28 aces in a three-set sweep of the Saints, winning 25-16, 25-9, 25-13. Taylor Howell led the Cougars with nine aces as Goldsboro improved to 3-1.
