Spring Creek rolls past South Lenoir to improve to 6-1

SEVEN SPRINGS — Spring Creek continued its strong start to the season and extended its recent run against South Lenoir with a 6-1 win Thursday, Sept. 3.

The Gators improved to 6-1 with the victory, while the Blue Devils fell to 1-3-1. Spring Creek also owns a 3-0 advantage over the last three recorded matches in the series.

Spring Creek took control early, building a 4-0 lead in the first half. South Lenoir found the net after the break, but the Gators added two more goals for a 2-1 second half and finished off the five-goal win.

John Cabrera and Christopher Mulenga Miteu scored two goals apiece for Spring Creek. Joyner Joshua Perez Zunun added a goal, and Erix Sosa Rodriguez had one goal and one assist.

Bryan Esau Medina Rodriguez helped drive the Gators’ attack with three assists. Darwin Daniel Aldana Rodriguez and Jason Benny Perez Juarez each added one assist.

Emilio Flores Salinas scored South Lenoir’s goal, and Benjamin Gonzalez finished with seven saves for the Blue Devils.

Spring Creek hosts Greene Central on Tuesday, Sept. 8. South Lenoir travels to Washington on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
