NCHSAA Finalizes Dual Team Tennis Brackets

CHAPEL HILL -- The North Carolina High School Athletic Association finalized the Men's Dual Team Tennis playoff brackets on Friday. The full brackets can be viewed here. 

Our teams:
2A- Rosewood received a #8 seed with a BYE in the first round. They will play East Bladen in the second round.
3A- Greene Central recieved a #2 seed with a BYE in the first round. They will play the winners of South Columbus vs West Bladen.
3A- Goldsboro received a #4 seed with a BYE in the first round. They will play the winners of Ayden Grifton vs Spring Creek.
4A- North Lenoir received a #4 seed with a BYE in the first round. They will play the winners of East Duplin vs SouthWest Edgecombe
4A- Eastern Wayne received a #17 seed and will play on the road versus Nash Central in the first round.
5A- Charles B Aycock received a #3 seed with a BYE in the first round. They will play winner of Currituck Co vs Southeast Alamance.

The playoffs will begin on Monday with the first round matchups. The second round is scheduled for April 29 and the third round is scheduled for May 4. The fourth round (the regional round for the 8A Classification) will be May 6. The Regionals for all of the other Classifications will be May 12.

The Dual Team State Championship Matches will be held May 15-16 at the Burlington Tennis Center.

The Individual State Tournament has already begun as Pre-Regional play began on April 20. The Regional Championships will be conducted on May 1-2 and the State Championships will be held on May 8-9. Those Championships will be held at the following sites:

  • 1A/2A: North Main Athletic Complex (formerly Ting Park), Holly Springs

  • 3A & 4A: Burlington Tennis Center

  • 5A & 6A: Cary Tennis Park

  • 7A & 8A: Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center
